OUR OYSTERS

Our oysters are of superb quality, with excellent meat, flavour and colour.

It has been proven that oysters contain 2 unique amino acids that prompt the release of sexual hormones. Even more exciting, is news that oyster fats, called ceramides, appear to fight breast cancer. A Columbia University study this summer concluded that eating seafood can reduce the risk of colon cancer. Oysters are good for people suffering from high blood pressure and too much cholesterol, only 75 calories per dozen oysters and also being rich in zinc, iron, calcium and Vitamin A.

Great care is taken with all the shellfish that we sell; their well being is paramount to us, to ensure that they are sold on to our customers in optimum condition. The plant operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. All products are time and date stamped when packaged so you can be assured of their freshness.

The Soil Association monitors the farming operation, so there is an outside body overseeing the operation, ensuring that the shellfish are grown in a responsible and eco-friendly way.
